I am a dessert lover. However, I also know the naughty-ness of sugar, so that puts me in a pickle. Here are a couple of delights that scratch my dessert itch without fueling sugar addiction. Side note: when consuming sugar (of a any kind) pair it with a good fat. This pairing keeps your insulin in check, which control the desire for more sugar as well as helping to keep unwanted pounds at bay. Eat good fat to keep from getting fat.
A healthified version of Baskin Robbin’s tornado (which I do not think they actually make anymore).
In this creation:
How to:
- combine approx 3/4 cup 2% Fage Greek yogurt, 5-10 drops liquid stevia, a small handful of sun drops.*
sundrops= a healthy version of m&m’s. Try them. You will not regret this.
Banana Sammi: This combo is creamy, crunchy and sweet. Hot damn!
How to:
- slice 1/2 small banana in half lengthwise, apply a touch of natural peanut butter and cacao nibs.
Dark Chocolate Sunflower Butter Cups
How to:
- remove from wrapper.
- eat
